Recently, Mediapool published an article about the activities of ITAD Bulgaria, highlighting an important question – what happens to equipment when it’s no longer needed? Some choose to discard it. We choose to give it a second life.
Reuse is at the heart of what we do
We’re often asked if we simply “recycle tech.” The answer is: not exactly. Recycling is only the final step in a much broader process.
At ITAD, we manage the entire lifecycle of IT equipment – from decommissioning to reintegration where it brings value. This includes:
- Receiving equipment from business clients
- Certified data erasure
- Assessment and refurbishment
- Reuse or donation
- And only as a last resort – responsible recycling

Our services are aimed at corporate clients. When we extend the life of equipment by even one year – and often it’s much longer – we save resources and add value. We offer businesses a smart alternative and cost optimization, while giving the environment less waste and more time.
Over 90% of the equipment we receive (which must be no older than 10 years from production date) finds new life. This is the result of years of experience, high professional standards, and attention to every step of the process. The partnerships we build are based on trust – because the responsibility we take on starts with the tech but goes far beyond it.
Value that remains
When technology ages, the solution isn’t to throw it away – it’s smart management.
Some of the equipment we refurbish finds new homes in offices, schools, institutions. Other devices are donated where they can be most useful.
In our field, we don’t say old computers are worthless – we jokingly call them “flower pots.” That’s why our latest campaign involved planting flowers in the lids of old computers. Because in the right hands, even technology can bring new life.
