The Best Way to Handle E-Waste? Reuse It
- The Best Way to Handle E-Waste? Reuse It
In an interview with Bloomberg TV, ITAD Bulgaria highlights a pressing modern issue—electronic waste. In the discussion, company co-founder Evgeni Iliev emphasizes that the most meaningful approach isn’t just recycling but extending the lifespan of devices through reuse.
The Problem in Bulgaria
Bulgaria ranks last in the European Union for e-waste recycling. Only 3% of desktop computers and a mere 2% of laptops in the country are recycled. This is not just an alarming statistic but also an opportunity. There is significant room for improvement, and we are already actively working on the solution.
The Key Is Reuse
For over 20 years, we have been working with used computers. This is our profession, expertise, and contribution to a more responsible future. More than 90% of the equipment we receive, as long as it is within 10 years of its manufacturing date, becomes suitable for reuse. We can extend its lifespan by at least one year, and in many cases, much longer.
Our expertise goes beyond just reuse. We offer a comprehensive IT asset management solution that includes:
- Purchasing used IT equipment
- Certified data erasure
- Supplying new IT equipme
- Refurbishing and reselling IT devices
Instead of being dismantled and recycled, devices get a second life. This is a better alternative to traditional recycling because it conserves resources, reduces harmful emissions, minimizes waste, and brings real added value to businesses.
Business-Oriented Focus
All of this is designed specifically for corporate clients and institutions that require a secure, regulated, and professional solution for their IT equipment.
For us, this is not just a service but a responsibility—to our clients and to the environment.
