“ITAD in a Box” Reaches Plovdiv: An Eco Day with the Children of “Druzhba” Kindergarten

Eco Mission with Smiles and Inspiration

On June 6, ITAD Bulgaria and young YouTuber Toni Legend took part in a heartwarming eco initiative at “Druzhba” Kindergarten on Papelasha Street in Plovdiv. Together with the children from all four groups, we planted 100 flowers in 10 old computer cases — proving that even outdated technology can bloom into something beautiful, colorful, and good for the planet.

The little gardeners eagerly picked flowers and planted them with bright smiles and enthusiasm. For them, it was a joyful experience — full of laughter, fun, and a lesson in environmental responsibility.

A Gift for the Future

Each child received a special gift — a seed pencil that, once used, can be planted to grow into a real plant. Because we believe that caring for nature starts in early childhood.

Drawing Contest: “What Can We Make from an Old Computer?”

During the event, ITAD Bulgaria launched a creative challenge — a drawing contest titled “What Can We Make from an Old Computer?”

Children let their imaginations run wild, creating inspiring artworks that gave new life to old technology.

And the Winner Is…

We’re thrilled to announce that Simona Gramatikova from Group 4B is the winner of the contest!
Her idea — a police car made from old computer parts — impressed the jury with its meaning, imagination, and message.

Simona receives two cinema tickets for Cinema City at Mall Plovdiv. Congratulations, Simona!

Together for Children and the Planet

The flowers planted in old computers and the children’s colorful ideas proved once again that something old can become something beautiful and meaningful — when touched by a child’s hand and imagination.

We also encourage parents: spend more time outdoors with your children, play with them, talk to them. Let’s teach them that not everything old should be thrown away — sometimes, a little creativity and a lot of heart are enough to turn it into a source of joy.

Cherish your children, hug them, listen with understanding, and support their ideas — they are the flowers we will enjoy tomorrow.
